Description

The Dell PowerEdge MX5016s is a high-density storage sled designed for the Dell PowerEdge MX kinetic infrastructure system. This storage sled provides direct-attached storage (DAS) capacity to MX compute sleds, enabling flexible configuration and scalability to meet demanding storage requirements.  The Dell PowerEdge MX5016s is a full height, single width blade designed for storage with up to 16x 2.5″ drives. Up to 7 can be installed in the MX7000 chassis. The storage module communicates with servers via the MX5000s SAS switch

• Up to 16 x 2.5” SAS (HDDs/SSDs) in one storage sled.
• Up to 112 drives using 7 storage sleds within the PowerEdge MX chassis
• Supports SAS hard drives & SSDs only (SATA and NVME drives are not supported)
